I want to thank everyone who attended the Second Life interest meeting on February 2nd. The meeting proved to be a success. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about several upcoming events involving an introduction to Second Life.
On Monday, February 9th, from 2:30 until 4:30 there will be an introduction to Second Life meeting held in the OIT Lab in the Library. Two other introductory sessions will occur on Monday, February 16th, from 2:45 until 4:45 and Friday, February 13th, from 1:00 until 3:00. The meeting on Friday, February 13th, will be held in the computer lab of the Department of General Business. We will spend time creating our avatars, going over general navigation tools, and exploring the world in general. If you would like to participate in one of these sessions without being physically present, you may meet us “in world” during one of the designated times. A location will be specified on the Second Life in Education blog at www.sledned.blogspot.com for each of the sessions.
